Personal resilience
What is personal resilience?
We live in a world that is ever-changing, more and more, faster and faster. We face change in all walks of life, including work. The boundaries between work and life are increasingly blurred for many people, with remote working, long hours, and mobile technology increasingly bringing work into our homes.
Against this backdrop, it's increasingly difficult to 'be yourself', to retain your own self identity. We face rising stress levels as change piles on change, and lose the feel good factor.
No surprise that many people are low on self-confidence, and feel swamped, frazzled, and out of control. But, we rationalise, it's all part of modern life.
It doesn't have to be like that.
Brilliant Futures helps you to increase your own resilience to change. By connecting with who you are, what's important to you, and developing your understanding of change and its effect on you. Instead of reacting to change, you will take it in your stride, and play your part in leading others when faced with change. Personal resilience is a key quality to have, and developing it will put you firmly in charge of your life.
Who else do you want in charge of it?
When we better connect with ourselves and our identity, change becomes simpler to manage.
"We talked of empowerment and this has certainly been a benefit I have gained from the process. I have also gained much from our discussions and now feel so much better prepared for whatever comes next. I am as we speak going for the bulls eye" - Public sector manager
"I would like to thank you again for leading a very enjoyable and insightful session this evening. The content, presentation and learning were all very well received, and the time taken to prepare as well as present is appreciated (particularly as I know how busy you have been these past few weeks)” - CIPD
What's on offer?
A. Resilience Coaching
One to one coaching packages are available, around personal resilience. Brilliant Futures coaching packages are flexible, and will be determined by your issues and personal circumstances. Typically, a coaching programme might last from 4-6 sessions of 1-2 hours each. One off coaching sessions are available, and coaching can be delivered face to face, online or by phone.
Some example topics tackled in resilience coaching are as follows:
- Identifying how you, and other people, resist change, and working on strategies for dealing with that.
- Getting clear on what your personal values are in life.
- Deciding what you want to achieve, and putting action plans in place to move towards these goals.
- Understanding your own personality preferences, and how you can use your strengths to deal more effectively with change while being yourself.
B. Other Resilience options
Other personal development packages (workshops, seminars, webinars and learning guides) can be tailored to your specific needs, whether individual or group. Please contact me if you would like to discuss other options for increasing personal resilience.
